Was born in 1956 in Kyiv in the family of a sculptor-animalist Yuri Ruban.

1968 – 1974 – studied in Republican Art High School, Department of Sculpture.

1975 – 1981 – student of the Kyiv State Art Institute, Faculty of sculpture. The teachers: I.V.Makohon, V.V.Shvetsov, V.Z.Boroday.

Since 1978 takes part in the Republican and All-republican art exhibitions.

1985 – became a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

1986 – 1989 – postgraduate student of creative workshops of the Academy of Arts of the USSR.

Since 1990 participates in international exhibitions and salons.

2011 – received the gratitude of the Prime Minister of Ukraine “For a significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian Fine Arts”.

2014 – became the Winner of the All-Ukrainian Sculpture Triennale “Sculpture 2014”.

2017 – was awarded the Medal “For sacrifice and love to Ukraine”.

2017 – was named Honored Artist of Ukraine.

2020 – together with Viktor Lipovka, completed the restoration of the sculptures of her father, Yuriy Ruban, “Bison” and “Lions” for a renovated entrance to the Kyiv Zoo.

Repeatedly participated in symposia, promotions, contests, auctions, collective art exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.

Olexandra is the author of seven monumental compositions in Ukraine and Sweden.

Her works are exhibited in 14 museums all over the world, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, France, Sweden, England, Germany, USA, Switzerland and Israel.

Olexandra works in the area of an easel and monumental sculpture. Preferred sculptural materials are bronze, granite, marble and wood.
